A county board demonstrates compliance (as that term is used in Ohio Admin. Code 5123-4-01) when it demonstrates that it has systems in place to show that it regularly meets the regulatory requirements contained in the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities’ (DODD) standardized accreditation tool. DODD conducts periodic accreditation reviews of each county board, at a schedule that is based on their current certification term.

DODD Reviews

Routine reviews of county boards, called accreditation reviews, are completed at least once every three years and are only conducted by DODD Compliance. Accreditation reviews result in either a three-year accreditation, a one-year accreditation, or the county board is not in compliance and works with the department to develop a plan of action to come into compliance within 90 calendar days. During this time, the county board cannot enroll people with developmental disabilities onto home and community-based services waivers.

Our Compliance Record

Morrow DD has received a 3-year certification since 2017. In 2017, the maximum term was changed to 3 years.

Prior to 2017, the maximum accreditation term was 4 years (unless a county board was CARF-accredited, then a 5-year certification was possible.) Morrow DD received the maximum 4-year certification for each term from 2005 until 2017.
